Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information TradeForce collects, why, what we do with it and the choices you have. It covers our website (tradeforce.ie), the service we provide to our clients, and our software that connects to Google Ads.
Who we are
TradeForce is run by Charlie McConnell, based in Ireland. We are the controller of the personal information described here, except where we say we act on behalf of a client. You can contact us about anything in this policy at contact@tradeforce.ie.
What we collect
If you ask for a call. Your name, mobile number, trade and town, and, if you came from one of our ads, which ad it was. We use this to ring you about our service and for nothing else.
From our clients (business owners). Your name, your business details (such as your trading name, registered company details, address and the services you offer), your contact details, and our messages with you by email, phone or WhatsApp. Our monthly fee is paid through a payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
From the Google Ads accounts our clients link to us. See "Google user data" below.
Enquiries on websites we build for clients. When someone sends an enquiry through a client's website (for example their name, phone number, email and message), it goes to that client. We handle it only on the client's behalf, to deliver it and to measure which ads produced it. For those enquiries the client is the controller and we are their processor.
Our own website. Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and secure the site. Cookies are covered below.
Google user data
Our software connects to Google Ads through the Google Ads API. This section explains how we access, use, store and share the Google user data that comes from that connection.
What we access
Only Google Ads accounts that our clients have linked to us, with their permission. In those accounts our software reads and changes campaign settings, keywords, ads and assets. It reads performance data such as impressions, clicks, costs, conversions and the search terms that triggered the ads, and the account's billing and verification status. We never ask for a client's Google password, and we never see the card they use to pay Google.
How we use it
Only to build, manage and report on that client's own campaigns. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it to advertise to anyone. We do not use one client's data to benefit another client in a way that reveals their information. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
How we store it
We keep the campaign and performance data we need for reporting on our own systems and with the providers listed under "Who we share it with". Access is limited to the people who need it to provide the service. Sign-in details for Google are kept out of our code and our messages, and every change our software makes is logged against the account it was made in. We delete this data within 90 days of our service to that client ending, or sooner if they ask.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than the providers that help us deliver the service to that client, acting on our instructions, or where the law requires it. People on our team only read this data where it is needed to provide the service to that client or for security.
Your control
Clients can remove our access at any time from inside their Google Ads account, and can ask us to delete the data we hold about their account.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and measurement
We ask before setting any cookie that is not needed to run the site. If you say yes, we use the Google tag and the Meta Pixel to count visits and enquiries and to see which of our ads led to them. Your choice is passed to Google using Google Consent Mode. If you say no, those tags are not loaded.
Your choice is remembered in your browser for six months. You can change it at any time: .
The websites we build for clients work the same way: measurement and advertising cookies are only set with the visitor's consent.
How we use personal information
- To ring people who ask us for a call.
- To build and run our clients' websites and Google Ads campaigns, and to report on results.
- To talk to our clients by email, phone or WhatsApp, including weekly reports.
- To bill for our service and keep business and tax records.
- To keep our services and accounts secure, and to comply with the law.
Our legal bases
We use personal information to take steps you have asked for and to perform our contract with clients, for our legitimate interests in running our business securely, with consent where the law requires it (such as measurement and advertising cookies), and to meet legal obligations such as keeping tax records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with providers that help us deliver the service, under terms that protect it: Google (Google Ads and email), our website hosting provider (Vercel), our form delivery provider (Make), WhatsApp and the Meta Pixel (Meta), the software tools we use to analyse results and draft reports, and our payment provider. Where any of these process data outside the European Economic Area, they do so under approved safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Call requests from people who do not become clients: deleted within 12 months.
- Client details and messages: for as long as we work together, then up to six years for accounting and legal records.
- Google Ads data we store for reporting: while we manage the account, then deleted within 90 days of our service ending, or sooner if the client asks.
- Enquiries from client websites: passed to the client straight away. Any copy we hold is deleted within 12 months, or sooner if the client asks.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email contact@tradeforce.ie and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Security
We protect accounts with strong sign-in (including passkeys), keep sign-in details out of our code and messages, give access only to the people who need it, and log every automated change our software makes.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects our clients, we will tell them directly.
